Celia Berndtzen got her dance education at the Swedish Ballet School in Gothenburg and at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm (2000-2005). She has danced choreographies by Alexander Ekman, Sebastian Prantl, Joseph Sturdy, Gun Lund and Ivo Cramér, among others. In 2011 she took part in Nordic Baroque Dancers’ collaboration with Compagnie l’Eventail at Drottningholms Slottsteater, where she danced choreography by Marie-Geneviève Massé. During 2014-2015 she dances in Kristina från Duvemåla at the Göteborg Opera. Celia has choreographed many pieces of her own, which have been shown at Moderna museet in Stockholm, the centre of contemporary art in Gothenburg and at Malmö Sommarscen, often in collaboration with musician Xenia Kriisin. Celia received a grant from the Friends of the Drottningholm Palace Theatre in 2009 and was also the winner of the choreography competition at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in 2008 and 2009.
